Truth in Advertising (Tax)?

Peter Hart from Fairness & Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR) has an astute post up on Huffington Post today promoting the idea of a 1.5% dedicated tax on TV advertising which would translate to $1 billion per year for a truly independent public broadcasting system.  Mr. Hart reminds us that the CPB was intended to be a “heat shield” from political and commercial pressure.  So much for good intentions.  Click here to read the post, complete with links to FAIR’s coverage on public broadcasting over the past few years.
